The day-to-day operational costs of running our three properties are met by income from visitor fees, sales of  flour and souvenirs and catering (in the case of the two mills). Whilst smaller maintenance works are also met from the same sources, larger projects – and old buildings do cost a lot of money – require substantial fund-raising  efforts. We recently spent £35,000 on repainting the outside of Pakenham Watermill – a task which is repeated every eight years or so.

We also fundraise to improve the visitor experience, and we are currently carrying out work to improve the display of the Gayer-Anderson collection at Little Hall.
